My ancestors George and Sarah Elizabeth Yarwood died in 1864 and 1868 in goldfields area, They left five children under twelve. One ended up as a ward of the state in Melbourne. I have now found Sarah Elizabeth's sister Ann, married to James Hough and living in Castlemaine. Is there any way I can find out if she took the orphaned children in, as apart from the one sent to Melbourne, they all stayed in the area until adulthood. It is a family mystery! Jenny
