Thank you Gaylene, That is the family, you have just filled in some of the gaps for me. John Percy always signed his name with an itt always dotting the "i", but seems mostly to be recorded as ett. During some of my research his sated birthplace becomes dodgy, on his marriage cert. he says he comes from Stratford le Bow, but I have found the itt's come from Tring?? I have found no entry into Aust. for him so have decided to find out all I can about him and it may lead to something. Checked the appropriate census in UK but have not found him or his parents John and Sarah nee Mayo. Thank you again Margaret of Oakey
