Hello Listers In 1909, Canon Charles HARRIS of Hamilton,Vic married Emily OSBORNE (nee DRURY) of Maryborough, Vic in the Chapel of Bishopscourt, Ballarat (I have their Marriage Certificate). Emily is my gr.gr.aunt (his second wife) Some time in the period 1900 to 1908, Charles HARRIS lost his first wife. Unfortunately I can’t read the date. The Marriage Certificate states that Charles had 3 living and 1 deceased child at the time of his second marriage in Oct 1909. Looking for the name of Charles’s first wife please, and where she is buried in Ballarat. There is a burial at the Ballarat Cemetery for a HARRIS, no given name, Sept 1906. This could well be her as I can’t see anything else around this period of time. Also looking for the names of any of his children who may have been born in NSW, but possibly Victoria. A daughter was named May (confirmed in the Death Notice of Charles who died in Sydney in 1934 at the age of 91yrs ) Charles HARRIS was born in O’Connell, NSW, Australia in 1847 Father Henry, a grazier Mother Mary A HURLEY They were married in 1841, Abercrombie District, Bathhurst, NSW Moved to Victoria about 1881 with his Clergy duties.
