William Barton Farr, arrived 1854, mined Ballarat, Durham Lead, Sebasterpol, Homebush, Maryborough. My husband’s ancestors are Thomas Hall Brain who arrived 1852 and sold lemonade at Moonlight Hill (Castlemaine) and began a brewery in Sandhurst (Bendigo) with his son Thomas Henry Brain.
