    3. Greetings and happy new year to all family history researchers. I do hope all members have a happy and successful year of research in 2011. Yet again, I am amazed by the impact the gold rushes have had on the subsequent history of Victoria - as a resident of Bendigo, I am surrounded by goldfields legacy. I am researching Rapkins Hillary Start Bennett Holmes Gallagher Dridan and associated families in Elmhurst, Avoca and surrounding areas. I am also interested in Hopper Whiteley Rivett and associated families in the Maryborough and Timor areas. Hoping to hear from anyone also researching any of these families. The site says it has moved, but here is the new one. https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/CA2574F700805DE7/HomePage?ReadForm&1=Home~ &2=~&3=~ it has a tab for contact us.. however the rule is generally 100 years so that rules you out UNLESS you can demonstrate and prove you are a descendant OR maybe - I have heard a whisper - if you can prove the person is dead. No promises. But, you should be able to ask them.
