HASTINGS Millicent Emma died Father: Royal Henry Mother: Emma JACKSON Death Place: COBURG Age: 62 Year: 1948 Reg Number: 13870 OR the husbands died and the wives remarried and so died under a different name... or interstate of course. Had a license renewal come in the mail recently which had some errors. I phoned to rectify it . But was in my husbands name and he was out . They wouldnt talk to me , but a fax or email was out OK . So I sent them an email . Tis a funny old world Bye

    3. Greetings and happy new year to all family history researchers. I do hope all members have a happy and successful year of research in 2011. Yet again, I am amazed by the impact the gold rushes have had on the subsequent history of Victoria - as a resident of Bendigo, I am surrounded by goldfields legacy. I am researching Rapkins Hillary Start Bennett Holmes Gallagher Dridan and associated families in Elmhurst, Avoca and surrounding areas. I am also interested in Hopper Whiteley Rivett and associated families in the Maryborough and Timor areas. Hoping to hear from anyone also researching any of these families. 3. OK these are the ones with Mary Therese as mother. But, you say Hilda Elsie.. Digger - Pioneer Index. Victoria 1836-1888 ZILLES Jeanetta BORN Father: Conrad Mother: Mary Ther FINEGAN Birth Place: BULL Year: 1863 Reg Number: 1808 ZILLES Constance Ellen DIED Father: Conrad Mother: Mary FINNIGAN Age: 2 Birth Place: ROCK Year: 1865 Reg Number: 7532 Is this the same person as Jeanetta? ZILLAS Mary Josephine BORN Father: Conrad Mother: Mary FINNEGAN Birth Place: LINTON Year: 1866 Reg Number: 3041 ZILLES Gasteve George BORN Father: Conrad Mother: Mary Theresa FINNEGAN Birth Place: SEBA Year: 1870 Reg Number: 26245R WHY IS IT REVISED??? AH - the other version is TILLES. Let's have a look at that spelling. No, nothing on pioneer index cd. Linton and Sebastapol are quite close to each other - in fact they are now almost outer suburbs of Ballarat. Well, heading that way! Not sure about Rock and Bull.. Bulla, Bulleen, or?? I'd think BULLA back then - a good way from Ballarat, but on the way there for sure. And Rock I have not come across that I can remember.. Ah Rockbank. On the road to Ballarat, a bit out of Melbourne. Near enough for it to be the same place as Bulla, I think, if you are talking registration districts. And the marriage of the parents. ZILLES Conrad married FINEGAN Mother: Mary Theresa Year: 1861 Reg Number: 2661 Sadly no birthplace for either of the parents given - possibly it was not on the marriage cert itself as it is a field that is indexed USUALLY. There is nothing I can find to help you other than this. Is it possible they are interstate, or the names of the parents are mixed up? I can't find anyone o=with a mother Hilda or Elsie SIEMERING dying for instance, let alone the two names together! - not on the death index which is after 1921.
