Ooops - and I am starting to go slightly bananas trying to work these all out, and am going to retire from the fray. James WILLIAMSON I quoted from Victoria and its Metropolis. He came from Caithness via the Geelong area to Tinamba. He married Jane McKENZIE. I have a headstone date, but no death registration. John Williamson married a Barbara WILLIAMSON. One or the other of them is a child of Donald Williamson and Barbara Meiklejohn (I think). This group comes from Caithness via Geelong and ended up in Tinamba. But I am now tending towards this being the branch the Glencairn Williamsons come from. And yes, Walter Grieve WILLIAMSON married Margaret CLYNE, one child married an OSBORN, another an ALLARDYCE (both Tinamba/Heyfield families) - sorry for the confusion there. There is a headstone in the Maffra Cemetery that reads: In memory of Donald WILLIAMSON, who died 11 March 1872 aged 65 years. In loving memory of William C. ANDERSON, who died 16 March 1876 aged 42 years. In loving memory of Jane, beloved wife of James WILLIAMSON, who died 5 July 1913 aged 62 years, also their son Jas died 5 August 1906 aged 24 years. In loving memory of Barbara, wife of Donald WILLIAMSON, who died 11 November 1876 aged 68 years. [Linda notes - he is William Cunningham ANDERSON - the same year he dies John and Barbara have a daughter they name Ellen Conynham WILLIAMSON. ANDERSON'S mother was a CUNNINGHAM] The Sale Headstone for Margaret WILLIAMSON nee Clyne/Kline is: In loving memory of Margaret WILLIAMSON of Newry, who died Nov 11th 1916 aged 83 years. A colonist of 59 years. I cannot find a death registration for Walter Grieve WILLIAMSON, but am interested to see the Newry on her headstone - so is she connected to the CLYNEs of Upper Maffra - which is why I always kept in the back of my mind that there was a CLYNE in the WILLIAMSONS - just I had it in the wrong lot of WILLIAMSONS. I am working with notes that are in three different collections, so cannot check some for a week or so - there is an extensive file in the Maffra Library for the WILLIAMSON/CLYNE (with OSBORN/ALLARDYCE branches). However as I don't think these are the WILLIAMSONS that the original enquiry was about (I posted them only for elimination purposes), so am not going to chase them any further unless anyone is interested in those specific families. Hi Jan (and anyone else sitting on the Williamson sidelines), I don't have any reason to think that incorrect (sorry about the double negative). I guess Walter G. WILLIAMSON and Margaret CLYNE/KLINE had a fair number of children, I just don't have the list. Elizabeth Mary WILLIAMSON was buried 11 June 1926 in the Heyfield cemetery aged 63 years, and John on 19 May 1927. There is no headstone. Here are the entries from the index to Gippsland Guardian (GG), Gippsland Mercury (GM) and Gippsland Times (GT) for Williamson - another lot of jigsaw work for someone on a rainy day Williamson, Catherine M GM 14.11.1874 Williamson, dau of Reuben B GM 7.8.1886 Williamson, Elizabeth M GM 4.5.1882 Williamson, Frances Annie King M GM 2.9.1886 Williamson, Isabella S.
