Hello the List, I am interested in finding out the route(s) taken by Cobb & Co's coaches from Sale to Bairnsdale from1861 when I understand the service commenced. It seems the service was twice per week at a cost of £1:10:0 one way, and later three times a week for £1:0:0. I do not know much about local geography but I would imagine that there would be more than one route depending on weather conditions, floods etc. I have visited several web sites and have found a fair amount about the company but not the particular route I am interested in. Also, have been in contact with a researcher at Cobb & Co but she is mainly interested in the routes in Qld and NSW. This is a pity as Cobb & Co was founded in Victoria in 1853 by F COBB, JM PECK, JB LAMBER and J SWANTON. Soooo, I wonder if anyone on the list has any information on this or could point me in the right direction please? Doreen in Doncaster
