    3. Dear Linda, Thanks for your welcoming letter: I realised after I'd sent my introductory e-mail how little information I'd actually sent. Sorry. Today I'll just stick to the Williamsons and the few families I know they married into. These are the brief details I have on 'my' Williamsons in Gippsland, at this very early stage, who are descendants of Susannah Mansfield and William Ramsay Williamson. I found several by searching for the name "Affia', and then contacted people I hoped were related to two descendants, a Napper and a Ludbey, by phone, and 'lucked in'. I then found several more after contacting Neil Mansfield, who is working on listing the burials at Sale Cemetery. As I pointed out in my earlier email, I have only discovered these people, so have virtually no information on them, but reams on their parents and grandparents. Affia Williamson b. ?Tas? m. Simeon Napper 1868 in Tas ? Reg. Vic. d. ? Children: Ada Susan Napper b. 1869 Sale. John James Napper b. 1874 Simeon Napper b. 1874 m. Lillian Easterby d. 1958 Lilla Rose Napper b 1876 Sale m ?Harry Cox? d. 1954 Sale William Walter Napper b 1878 m. Pearl McCann d. 1958 Charles Napper b. 1881 Rosedal m.? d. 1965 Francis Ramsay Napper b. 1883 Rosedal d. 1961. Clara Affia Williamson, b. Tarraville 1856. m. Augustus Ludbey Tarraville 1874. d. Sale, 1882. Children: Thomas Augustus Ludbey b. Traralgon 1877. m. Victoria Griffiths 1907 d. 1943. Adeline Susan Ludbey b. 1882 Traralgon d. 1883 Rosedale. Isabella Susannah Williamson b ? m ?Jonathon? Walden d. 23/8/1930 (Buried in Sale Cemetery.) Parents: Ramsay Williamson and Susannah Mansfield. Catherine (Cate) Williamson b. ? d. 24/1/1923 aged 75. (Buried Sale Cemetery.) Parents: Ramsay Williamson and Susannah Mansfield. There is also a Margaret Williamson, nee Kline, Maffra., died 11/11/1916, whose husband may 'fit', name unknown, buried in Sale, as well as a Hannah Mary Williamson. So, if your Williamson was born in the 1840s, 50s, and 60s, he/she may be one of this family. Now, swamp me, please! I'll post details of the other families I mentioned earlier, at another time. Thanks, Carol Brill, Melbourne. As a Taswegain, I'm having trouble identifying the abbreviations of place names on my Australian Vital Records CD Rom. If I send some howlers, please correct me, and I may need to consult with the Gippsland experts often; no, I will need to consult often with queries on place names. -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
