Hi, Following some previous queries of mine - I now have the book "The Old Brown Coal Mine" by Kath Ringin. The book mentions a large strike which lasted 5 months in 1920/21. Now this has raised some other possibilities for my THOMAS family. From certificates and the birth index, I suspect that they were not in the Brown Coal Mine area very long (although James may have been there and the rest of the family in Fitzroy of course!) Anyway my questions are - Does anybody know if lists of either the "workers on strike" or the workers "brought up as 'scabs'" (but I suspect may not have managed to get to work) exist? Would there be lists of those receiving the "strike pay"? (mentioned in the book) I have tried the Vic PRO/ Archives - but I may be using the wrong search words. Also I tried to search the Braeside FHC fiche of the Hazelwood Cemetery - but it was missing. Does anybody know somewhere else that has one? Thank you Pat
