    3. Thanks kindly Vee for my cemetery look up. I see another lister was after a family in Sale cemetery and you also drew a blank for them. This leads me to wonder even if DC said buried in Sale maybe there was another cemetery. I find it hard to believe that my family which was a large one did not have some monument to their parents. Any suggestions? regards Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vee" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 16, 2005 7:45 AM Subject: Re: [AVG] Sale Cemetery > Hi Jan > Can't find any of them in Sale Cemetery Headstone Transcriptions > Regards > Vee > > Jan <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi List > > Would anyone have access to Sale cemetery fiche. 3. Hi Jan There is another person researching David Nolan from Talbotville I am not sure if you have been in contact with her Notes from her David NOLAN. He supposedly was born 1871 in Kilmoyly, Co Kerry, but I also have a reference to Ardfert. Perhaps that is where he was registered/christened. My David married Alice SIMS in 1872 in Omeo. He died in Talbotville (or Sale) in 1912. His father was also David and I believe he died in Talbotville too in 1894. His wife was a Catherine HOLOGHAN (with umpteen different spellings, according to where you look in Irish records). I can give you her contact off the list if this is the line you are researching, from off the top of my head there was a brother John as well at Talbotville which is near Dargo. If the lookup that you need isn't listed there, and is a GIPPSLAND one, then it is appropriate to ask on list.

    3. Jan, Don't forget the fiche are only for headstone and not the burial register- you would have to write to the Sale Cemetery Trust for information on the actual register. regards Ann ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2005 9:08 AM Subject: Re: [AVG] Sale Cemetery > Thanks kindly Vee for my cemetery look up. Any suggestions? < One set of my wife's maternal great grandparents had 14 children and no headstone over the grave (at Rosedale) until comparatively recently when the current generation decided to mark their resting place. There was just no money in the days when they died for expensive monuments. Colleen has a similar situation at the Sale cemetery where her other set maternal of great grandparents are buried - again a large family and just no money. She has several uncles and aunts also buried at Sale without headstones. the older of the tworobbos
