This is probably Yarra Bend Asylum. Try looking it up on "Google", Parks Victoria mention it on their web site. Yarra Bend had its own cemetery. The family had 5 children in Carlton and 3 in Bunyip (the last in 1902). John died in 1902 at the C.Hill Lunatic Asylum. Any ideas of the full name and place of this asylum before I get the inquest? Also seeking date and place of death of Elizabeth and where the couple were married. > > Jenny > > > > ==== AUS-VIC-GIPPSLAND Mailing List ==== > Lookups are available by going to the AVG home page at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/AVG/ and from there to Lookups. The admission books etc for Yarra Bend LA are kept at Victorian PRO. Inquest files for Victoria are also kept at the PRO and are indexed. Patrients who died at Yarra bend were usually buried in Melbourne General Cemetery, Carlton.. The records for burials there are on microfiche (copy at SLV). Walter
