Thanks to all who replied to my query on AMEY of Morwell North. The date of death is that supplied by his executor, when applying for probate for his will., seems the date of death varied, since it was reported on 30 May, and probate says 2 June. If anyone has a particular interest, I will call back the file, to see why his will was rejected (or whatever reason it was) ... could be deaths of executors or that he had sold any land he mentioned in his will ...or.... Just let me know, I'll add the box to those I am indexing and report if requested. I've indexed 1851-1959, but only half-way through the series. I'm calling a halt at 1960 and will do a printout, then continue at my leisure through to 1988, the last entries. My purpose has been to index, with occasional full reading of a file (particularly if it included court proceedings), but, reaching "modern" times, the job is not so urgent, I feel, since families likely have full memory of the reasons for rejection by the Probate Court. Should be completed sometime about mid 2008, I think. Regards Ada Ada Ackerly.
