    3. B. 0. FINLEY, better known as " B. 0. F.," is charged, on warrant, with unlawfully assaulting William Starke, engineer, Maffra Sugar Works, at Maffra, on the 6th inst. Description : -About 22 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, dark complexion, dark hair, very small moustache only ; wore dark sac suit, coat rather long, and black hat. Believed to have gone to Bairnsdale or Sale.-0.2883. 10th April, 1899. WILLIAM HENRY BREWER, paint manufacturer, Maffra-street, South Melbourne, reports stolen from his office, on the night of the 8th inst., 5 boxes " La Perla Del Orien," cigars, fifty cigars in each box; 3 boxes of "Colorado Clara" cigars; a box of " Colorado" cigars; a box of "Claro " cigars ; a 6-ft. steel tape ; and an ivory 2-ft. rule, with brass slip, with initials " W. H. B." on hinge. Value £4 15s.-0.8262. 10th October, 1899. ALBERT BLACKLOW is charged, on warrant, with committing perjury at the Maffra Police Court, on the 6th inst. Description : -Victorian, labourer, 21 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark sallow complexion, small dark moustache only, may clean shave, generally has a sneering smile ; wore, when last seen, a black suit and a low-shaped boxer hat. Left Maffra on the 9th inst. for Melbourne. He, about twelve months ago, worked for Mr. Vale, a solicitor, in Collingwood.-O.9618. 23rd November,1899. HUGH K. STELIN is charged, on warrant, with stealing a number of pictures, photos, &c., value £5, the property of Archibald McAllister, photographer, Sale, at Maffra, on or about the 9th inst. Description :-20 years of age, 6 feet high, slight build, dark complexion, clean shaven ; well dressed. Offender was complainant's partner.-0.3147. 10th April, 1900. (And you weren't even safe in court!) NORMAN MCLEAN, farmer, Maffra, reports stolen at the Law Courts,  on the 30th ult ., agent 's dark-blue mackintosh overcoat, tartan lining,  size about 6. Value £2 12s. 6d.-O.4449. 1st June, 1899. HELENA MILLETT, Maffra, reports stolen from the Court House at Sale, on the 27th or 28th inst., a grey sable fur cape, with three tape hangers.
