Hi Chris, One way is to get someone like me, who has a copy of "Vision and Realisation: A Centenary History of State Education in Victoria" sitting on their desk, to have a look. As it is organised by regions, it helps if you know a general area. 4240 is Kilmany Park From http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/AVG/Resources/Res-ws.html A school, registered No. 4240, opened 1925 and closed 1956. The school operated in conjunction with the Kilmany Park Boys' Home and attendance records 1925-1956 are held at SFHG and EGFHG. Some school records (1925-1956) are held at the PRO: VPRS 6542, and appear to include the registers. So you are best talking to Sale Family History Group, or East Gippsland Family History Group, who would most likely have included records in the fiche of school records they issued.
