Hi Everyone, Can anyone help me with a location for E.T. Bond, funeral director, of 29 McLean St, Somewhere. His business name plate has appeared in material received from the late John Leckie (long time funeral director in the Latrobe Valley). One option is that he was Edgar Thomas BOND, died in 1974 at Sale aged 60. But that is because he is the only Gippsland one to die before 1985. He could have died after 1985. McLean Street in Morwell is my first guess, but it may be someone out there can do better than my guessing - always a danger in historical research. Linda, Edgar Thomas Bond was a labourer at Driffield, Morwell in 1931-1936 so doesn't sound like the right one. There are no Bonds listed in 1929 Sands & McDougall as undertakers and no E.T. Bonds anywhere in Gippsland (of any occupation). It might be of significance that 'Funeral Director' is not a category in the 1929 directory - only "Undertaker". There is no possible matching male or female E.T. Bonds listed in Gippsland electoral rolls from 1914-1936 and no Bonds in Gippsland in 1936 who were in the funeral business, or anything related.
