A lady overseas is reasearching her father -Edward frank Symonds-and his time in Gippsland According to Celia he came to Australia on the ship "Vedic" which left Liverpool on 31st October,1925 This was part of the child migration scheme authorised by the British Government Any info on other people on this ship would also be welcome Evidently Edward was a member of the Australian Stockmans assoc and his daughter has a document stating that he was a "sworn auctioneer and stock valuer" signed by T---Ross , dated 24 January,1927 If anyone has any information regarding this gentleman, please contact me or the list so that it can be forwarded to his daughter Di Christensen Narre Warren E robert.c1@optusnet.com.au
