According to Luke Steenhuis in "Secrets of Ghost Towns of the High Country" page 23 "In 1867, a postal village named Verdon was recorded as being on the Dargo High Plains 4 miles south-west of Louisville. This was near the Conness Reef and Mt Blue Rag ....
