    3. Hello Chris, Bill Smith went away from his family first at age 6 to "Kildonan", then to "Kilmany" when he was almost 11 years old. He says he was there 1929-36, leaving at age 18. I bought my first copy at Morwell Newsagency in 1986, paying $6.95. It was signed by Bill. It mentioned the Yacht Club and the Commodore Mr Morwick, who had his own motorcar. Several years later I was shown a letter, in the papers of Mr Morwick's estate, from the Kildonan home, thanking him and his friends for the happy time the children had enjoyed by the sea at Williamstown that Christmas time. I have read the book several times since, always with a whimsical enjoyment. Regards Ada Chris Ward wrote: > Hello Ada, > > What time period are you looking at?
