Thomas and Caroline were at the "Cat and Fiddle Inn" Sowton, 6 miles east of Exeter, Devon from 1831 until their emigration in 1849. They married in London in 1826, but think they had probably gone up there in search of work, as they came back to Colaton Raleigh, Caroline's home town by 1831.
