Dear List, I know this is a long message but pleeeease read it. We are having a Family Reunion for the SMITH side of my family on October 31st this year and I really need help to locate members of 3 families. My GGGrandfather William Smith (from Midsomer Norton Somerset England) married Charlotte Fletcher in Castlemain Victoria Australia in 1856.They moved to Sarsfield near Bairnsdale Victoria and raised 9 children.A son and two daughters just disappeared and help is needed please to locate descendants of JOHN JAMES SMITH born 1858.He returned to England and was residing in Wellow Somerset in 1893.After that we don't know but he may have returned to Western Australia. ELIZA LOUISA SMITH born 1862 married JOHN CHARLES WARD in Bairnsdale Victoria and had the following children. John Daniel Ward 1883--1955, Ellen Louisa Ward 1886 --- Annie Matilda Ward 1894--1955 married a Jones and died at Footscray . Eliza Temperance Ward 1888 --1962,also married a Jones and died at Melbourne. Charlotte Ward b 1898-----1946 married a Lavelle and died at P'ville.(could it be Paynesville near Bairnsdale or Parkville in Melbourne) ANN SMITH born 1865 married RUEBEN NICHOLLS in Bairnsdale Victoria.They had the following children , Grace Emma Nicholls,b 1890, Martin Louis Nicholls b 1892 and Elsinore Nicholls b 1898.
