Hi, List. Can anyone help with the following please? 1. James Anderson of Longford died in 1894 of "Paralysis" (Dr J.A. Reid) a condition he had been suffering from "for 20 years". This was brought about by a fall from a waggon caused by a slippery (icy) step - when alighting to open a gate. 2. A child, Samuel, being orphaned by loss of parents due to a diseaae/epidemic, possibly in or near Heyfield in the mid to late 1850s. Said Samuel became part of James Anderson's family. Would there have been newspaper reports of James' accident or an epidemic in the approximate period above?
