Four days of music, family history activities, two international exhibitions and a host of other special events. Join in the fun and discover the rich musical sounds of our diverse communities. Thursday 11 - Friday 12 November Exhibitions Ceremony and Faith: Byzantine Art and the Divine Liturgy *must end 14 November* Immigration Museum exhibitions Discover Victoria's immigration history from the early 1800s to the present day. Croation Settlement in Victoria: The Untold Story Rapt in Colour: Korean textiles and costumes of the Choson dynasty School Performances A huge feast of music performed by schools from across Victoria will surprise and delight! Saturday 13 - Sunday 14 November Family History Stalls - in the Immigration Discovery Centre (including: Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies, Genealogical Society of Victoria, National Archives of Australia, Port Phillip Pioneers Group, Pubic Record Office of Victoria) Talks on family history and shipping - *Bookings Recommended* 10:30am Sat 13 and Sun 14 November Immigration Records at the National Archives of Australia 11:45am Sun 14 November The Journey Out - Matthew Churchward, Museum Victoria shipping expert, talks on the changing nature of the sea journey to Australia over the past 200 years. Workshops and Children's Activities Demonstrations, including: Latvian weaving, Indigenous storytelling, Papua New Guinea face painting and headdress demonstrations, Storytelling. Performances Enjoy the sounds of international music, including: shakuhachi, tamburica, accordian, flamenco guitar, a cappella voices and traditional choirs.
