Hello Listers, Would a lister be able to tell me anything about a school named " THE COTTAGE ", please? My late mother, BEATRICE CARSON, told me she went to school at WATER HOLES, via DEPTFORD, would this be the The Cottage? She would have been aged about 13 in 1914, and lived for a time with the MC DERMONT family [not sure of the spelling]. It would be great to have information about this piece of our history. I have not found Beatrice on the microfiche of the East Gippsland school's. Patricia Bates.
