Hi Listers, Banns were read in the Church of England in Foster in 1899 fpr my GP's marriage, and I also have a copy of their marriage certificate ( a Govt record). So both existed then. Likewise my parents in 1938 and my sister and I both had bans read in Foster Victoria) in 1968. Cheers Margerie Linton Greer
