    3. Pat, now that Linda has replied I know I can add a little bit too. Waterholes Road is still there, it runs off the road to Deptford and is not far from the Clifton Creek school. I had friends who lived just off Waterholes road. It finishes at the Nicholson River, but the general area is called Waterholes by the locals. It is about 25 minutes by car from Bairnsdale and there is a magnificent view of the distant mountains. It is very bushy with lots of hobby farms and just folks living in the bush. Lots of old farms in the vicinity, and old old homes, often at the rear of new, quite substantial homes. I will ask a friend of mine whose folks still live in the area if they know any residence, or for that matter, any place known as the cottage - my friends lived in "the bark hut", so no doubt 'the cottage" will be a cinch ?
