Barry I had a look for the death of Emma Mitchell and found this.  It should have her marital status at the time of her death.  If she remarried it would have when, which should give a clue as to what period we are looking for the death of Henry John Mitchell.  I did find another entry which could be his death but not sure so am including that too.
