Brodribb (the son, I presume) was part of a party delivered at Port Albert by the Singapore that rode overland to Melbourne. His first-hand account is published in "Recollections of An Australian Squatter 1835-1883", and is quite interesting. Off the top of my head, I think Lavinia married William Bennett and they had Hazelwood Station, south of present Morwell. From 1844 to 1847 that run was in the name of Albert Eugene Broadribb and William Bennett, although William Bennett held it on his own, apart from that time, from 1843 to 1860. There is also something in the back of my mind about Hazelwood being a family name of Lavinia's. But I could be wrong. :) Cheers Linda Barraclough Briagolong List Owner: AUS-VIC-GIPPSLAND email: kapana@netspace.net.au http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/AVG/
