Dear List, I have recently been blessed with two old photos, one of the Omeo Football Team dated 1890, and the other the Benambra Football Team dated 1900. Both have been named at some time. one in a black ink and the other in red. Both hand written notes are very faded and barely recognizable. The photos are reasonable. I have put them both under a U. V. lamp that helped a bit, at least I was able to get about half the names. Has any one any clues as to how else I might attempt to deceipher the faded script? In an attempt to get two birds etc, I was also given a very good quality photo taken by R. J. B. Hall of Beechworth, it is a school photo that must date to about 1900 or earlier. On the back is the notation S.S. Murmungee, any clues any one? Regards Bruce Hollonds.
