Hello to the List, I am trying to locate any relatives of JAMES HARVEY/THOMPSON who is supposed to have been born in Eldorado. This is what is on his daughter's birth certificate and his death certificate. His mother was ISABELLA HARVEY (born 1835)who married JOSEPH THOMPSON(born 1821) in 1860 in Victoria. Their children were Ruth Thompson born 1862, died Birregurra 1862 Elizah Thompson born 1863, died Birregurra 1 February 1904 Newton Thompson born 1866, died 1866 Joseph Thompson born 1868 in ? Joseph Thompson , Isabella's husband died in 1867.James was born after Joseph was born in 1870. He was registered as James Harvey originally and then this was changed to James Thompson, his mother's married name. She was a widow when he was born. Our James Harvey, whom we think is the same, says that he was born in Eldorado. On his first three children's birthcert., it states that he was born in Gippsland, and then on the fourth child it says he was born in Eldorado. So does anyone have any person related to Joseph Thompson who was the child of Joseph and Isabella Harvey. Joseph's parents were Joseph Thompson and Jane Rogers and he was born in CUMBERLAND, and Isabella's parents were Andrew Harvey and Ann Wallace and she was born in BURR , Kings County Ireland.
