Hi List, I have just been asked if we can help in any way to find the records of the Woodside Cemetery. In the 1970s they records were loaned to a newspaper to write about the cemtery, and were believed after that to have been handed to the then Alberton Shire. Several people have described the records, which were held in a recognisable shoe box. They do not appear to be any longer part of the shire records (I worked for a while in the new archives, and think, but only think, if they were there, I would know.) So has anyone heard of their whereabouts in recent years? There is talk of an anti-pylons rally on Sun 24th October which will visit the Woodside Cemetery and a number of other historic sites in the area. Further details will be posted nearer the time.
