Hi everyone. This is my first request to the list. I am looking for information about my grandparents James Aikman who m Mavis Clare Drummond 1917 Drouin and her parents. Mavis parents were Maxwell Drummond (b.1858 unknown d. 1940 Ballarat) and Clare Gertrude Ward (b.India 1876 d. 1928 Warragul) They arrived in Drouin 1912 with their 3 girls - Lilian Clare b. India 1898 m. Larry Burke d. 1967 lived around Longwarry/Drouin area. May b. approx. 1902 m. ? Brew and stayed for a time in the Drouin area later moved to Ballarat area. Mavis Clare b. 1899 India m. James Aikman ( b. 1880 Hallora d. 1957 Drouin) they had four children Neville, Esme, John and Jean, at the time of Mavis and James Wedding, Maxwell was listed as a retired railway guard. I would appreciate any information particularly on the Drummond side as this is all I have on my Grandparents and Great Grandparents. Regards Jan.
