A couple of us have been having a little natter about this off-list, as there is a list-member doing this family. But just in case others did not realise, Dr Arbuckle is a very significant figure in the European occupation of Gippsland - Doctors Flat near Swifts Creek is named after him. He went on to be the main coroner for Gippsland, and was an early licensee for Mewburn park. He is buried in the Sale cemetery, in that central section near Angus McMillan, and I THINK the Armidale reception House in Sale is where his daughter ended up. Not quite sure - maybe Sandra can confirm???? But it is really great to see the connection being made with his brother. And it would be terrific, Lorraine, if you could tell us on the list a little more about his background in Scotland - it is not something which I have seen any material about.
