William Tampling m. Jane Cook in 1858 Geelong. Family moved to Sale area c1880. Jane died in 1884 and a son, William Jnr. in 1887. When William Snr. died in 1890 he was buried as a pauper. What became of the two youngest children of this family - Thomas Henry b1880 and Mary Ann b1881? No trace of them on Vic/NSW bdm's or the Children's Register for Vic. Were they adopted or fostered? Can anyone suggest how I can trace them? Are there school registers for the 1880's for Sale available? Any suggestions appreciated.
