Researching James Carr (son of James and Ann Carr nee Brown) b Manneroo NSW 1834. Family moved to Merriman's Creek near the site of Stradbroke 12Jan1846. James married Cecilia Diana Williams 1Aug1869 then Annie Maria Armstrong in 1892. James was designated as a Packer/Storekeeper at Donnelly's Creek and a Farmer at Nuntin. James fathered fourteen children with his two wives - Susannan, Thomas Augustus, Catherine Winifred, James, Ellen, Mary Cecilia, Ann Adelia, John James and James (dec) b/w 1870 and 1883 then Charles, Margaret Alberta, Ivan George William, John Albert Raymond (my ancestor) and Amelia Lucy b/w 1893 and 1908. James and Ann Carr (nee Brown) were amongst the early Gippsland Pioneers who came over the mountains from the Monaro District of NSW.
