Hi List, I have just popped over and looked at John's home page, and think he knows all I know about the Fregons, plus more. But one of the McCoys (Beth, from Maffra), who is connected to the Fregons, told me one of my all-time favourite stories. In the big fire of the 1920s in Omeo, the local chemist, Mr Perry, realised his shop/residence was burning down. So he rushed up starirs and pushed his piano (which was his most important item), off the first-floor balcony to try and SAVE it. It didn't work.
