Oroiginally met at Greenwattle Racecourse for Caledonian Gatherings, but by 1874 had their own grounds in Sale. Next year a grandstand was added to the grounds. There is a photo on p.46 of a lot of people in kilts watching a man putting shot (is that the right phrase). Cabers can be seen on the ground.
