A WALK AND TALK IN A GIPPSLAND GULLY - Susan Greenaway, Poet and Painter of Gippsland. At the time of Federation, Susan Greenaway, who lived most of her life in the Hiawatha area fo Gippsland, was twenty five years old. During her lifetime, she recorded her life experiences and events in verse, and in her paintings. Her poetry, written on scraps of paper, backs of dockets, envelopes, calendars and brown paper are a remarkable legacy of the past. Long forgotten, they are now being compiled into a book, soon to be published by her granddaughter Sue Sedman. Sue Sedman will talk about her grandmother's life and work, and read some of her poems.
