Kitty Kane was said to be a lady of large proportions who kept a shanty. She was being carried to the cemtery when the miners apparently gave up and buried her by the roadside. Maybe someone out there who can find their copy of Rogers and Hellyar on Gippsland Graves can give some more details, like a date???
