I've been told by a distant cousin from England, who actually went to Walhalla in search of information on Henry George (a gold miner) that he found a couple of good books on the early days of Walhalla. They are "Mountain Gold" by John Adams and "Walhalla Heyday" by G.F. James and C. G. Lee. Could someone please advise if these books are still available and if they are not too expensive, how I could go about purchasing them. This cousin actually sent me a copy of a letter written by Henry in 1866 from STRINGER'S CREEK, (which of course is now Walhalla) and sent to an uncle in England. This was a wonderful discovery.
