    3. Yes, Linda, The PRO is moving records to the new "home" in North Melbourne, from Laverton. Sadly for me and those of us on this side of the city, the Laverton research rooms have now closed and only the Melbourne room is open for research till about 2002, I think. Some records are still available for access through Melbourne room, using a somewhat difficult (for us, anyway) system of ordering. The PRO website probably gives more details of this now. I am not sure, but I think that they do still answer phone or mail enquiries so perhaps Lesley may be able to use this avenue. A CD ROM index of inquests in Vict. is about to be released in coming months. Available through Macbeth, I think or Gould Books, for anyone interested.
