The cemetery is on the side of a very steep hill, and is terraced. Some of the headsones have little platforms built out so they can be flat. And, from memory, some may run along the contour of the hill - which is an easier way to bury people than digging an extra deep hole to stand them up. I have heard this story often, but on a number of visits to the cemetery I have found the layout does not support the suggestion. Sorry. :( Linda
