Fellow AVGers, Today, we went for a drive to 'The Springs', which is the place I nominated as the inaugural AVG Clean Up Oz day site, and confirmed that it still needs a cleanup. My estimate is that half a dozen people will clean up the site within 3-4 hours which will allow a bit of time for lunch, socialising and maybe further exploration. Some members of the Stratford Historical Society have expressed interest in joining in, which is most welcome So I will contact the Clean Up Australia Day committee next week and start to organise it officially. I would like to hear from any subscribers (directly, at the eddress below) who may be available to assist on the day (5th March 2000), so that we can start to organise the event. As this site is in the mountains of Gippsland, if any other subscriber would like nominate/organise another site in west, south or east Gippsland under the same umbrella, please contact me asap.
