My questions are - Does anyone know whether there may have been an orphanage in Sale at that time? If so, are records available? Jeremy just a short note my Stepfather was Ross Pleydell his parents were Sylvia & Lincholn Pleydell. Lincholn & his family was From Maffra. Ross died in 1991, he is buried at B/dale. I know one of my stepfathers cousins had about 7 kids, they would be all aged from about 32yrs onwards, names I'm sorry I don't remember. Sharon

Maffra HS has received an email from Shirley Ann Pleydell Beall; she is hoping to contact a Gary Pleydell, whom she understands is compiling a Pleydell family tree. Although he is supposed to have come from Maffra, no-one I've spoken to has heard of him.
