    2. Joan
    3. Hello listers Would any listers have access to newspapers in 1869 for Warnambool please if and when they may be doing their own research. My gg grandfather William Stewart died as a result of a cart accident, [he was a carrier] at Mortlake on 19 April 1869. There was no inquest for his death and only a funeral notice in the Geelong newspapers, where he resided. I was hoping that mention may have been made in the Warnambool newspapers. I will pay for any photocopying and mailing. Thank you for any help. Joan in NSW.

    3. Hi Joan, You've got the wrong end of Victoria. Gippsland is the pointy bit to the right, whereas Warrnambool and Mortlake are in the blunt end to the left. (Sorry I'm having a mad moment.) Try the Western District list. Kind regards, Jenny ________________________________________________________________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone. 3. Marriage and death certificates are available from <http:// online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/home> and can be arranged over the internet. These certificates have a great deal of information on them, including parents and the death certificates will include the names and dates of birth of any children, as well as occupations. Both Victoria and New South Wales certificates are worth having, the other states are not so generous with this information. Cheers Shirley
