    3. Thanks Elaine for James Stewart entry. So does this mean Directories exist? Are they able to be looked at and where are they housed? These old letters were written by Don McNaughton in 1936 from Scotland to his relations in Australia. He was into Family History then and eager to locate all branches of his tree. Apparently they were in Geelong, Little River, Hawthorn, Kardella and New Zealand. His dates of b. and d. are not accurate and I can't find the supposed death in a mining accident of a John Mc Naughton near Ballarat said to be in the 1880's but very interesting to read.
