Hi Robyn No, not this time - fortunately that is one cemetery I don't have to look in. It tugs a bit at the heartstrings to see the rusty frames of the cots which they used to mark the children's graves, doesn't it? He was with Bank of New South Wales, and was transferred from Brisbane to Georgetown in 1887, and on to Croydon. Next was Cooktown and Port Douglas and then back to Croydon as Manager in 1893, by which time he was married. They were there until 1901, when he was transferred to Sydney, but the culture shock must have been a bit much as he resigned and went back to Croydon. He was as a commission agent and valuer, and director of one of the mines - the Golden Gate - until about 1908 when the family moved firstly to Brisbane, where he was employed by the Lands Dept, then to Wallumbilla, Roma and finally here in Toowoomba abt 1919 as Western Lands Commissioner. He and Gran are both buried here. What was your ggf's name? I presume you bought a copy of "Croydon Gold" from the Information Office. and I suppose any continuation of this had better be 'offlist' as it does not relate to Geelong.
