Hello Alwynne, One would expect to find them on the shipping indexes of whatever state they landed in. Fare paying passengers were not asked their reason for going to Australia. There must have been many hundreds (thousands?) who just came for a visit, or on their way to another country. Just because they are listed does not automatically mean that they were immigrating.
