    3. Hi Graham, No mention of this family unless they're related to Henry Madren LEGGO. From the Leggo website ....... One hundred years ago, an Englishman, FR Rickards, established a business in Bendigo that was to become the foundation for the highly successful HM Leggo Company. Throughout the years many changes have occurred but the Leggo brand remains well established and respected in the food industry. FR Rickards arrived in Melbourne in 1879 and accepted a position as Clerk at TB Guests & Co., Biscuit Manufacturers. In 1881, he established his own wholesale business, and soon after (March 1882), he took into his employment a 13 year old boy, Henry Madren Leggo. Henry's initiative and resourcefulness led him to purchase Rickards' interest in the company in 1894. The company then became HM Leggo & Co. He acquired a skating rink, which he converted to a factory for the manufacture of vinegar, pickles, sauces, cordials and baking powder, and other grocery sundries. Further extensions were made when HM Leggo & Co. bought the business of the late William Budden in 1899. Regards ........
