Hi there, I'm hoping someone may be able to help with information on Robert Robertson and Mary Sked. They married on 11 Jan 1856 in Tradeston, Glasgow, Scotland and emigrated to Australia between 1858 and 1862. They lived in Inverleigh, had 4 children Colin B. 1862, William B. 1865, Annie B. 1867, Christina B.1869, and Robert Robertson was a shoemaker in Inverleigh. Christina Robertson is my G.G. grandmother. We believe that Mary Sked died in 1869 (maybe giving birth?). Also Robert Robertson had family living in Geelong....His mother Christiana Robertson (nee McMartin) lived in William st, brother John who married there and owned a sawmill apparently, Archibald, Colin, Duncan, and James. Not sure about the other brothers, but John and Christiana are buried in a family grave in Geelong Eastern Cemetary. If anyone has any further information on Robert, Mary and their family, passenger list info, or can help with historical photos of the sawmill, of Inverleigh etc, that would be MOST appreciated.
